Overland transportation is an integral part of our Supply Chain. IRIS maintains own fleet of last mile delivery vehicles, that is complimented with a fleet of Semi-Trailers and Articulated Trucks from our contracted transporters.

All delivery vehicles are fitted with GPS tracking devices to maintain oversight on real-time location and planned or expected delivery. Drivers are trained and regularly undergo checks to ensure they uphold compliance in regulatory requirements for safe & secure overland transportation of cargoes.

Project, OOG (Out of Gauge) and DGR (Dangerous Goods) require special handling at point of loading ex Vessel or Yard, during transportation and at delivery. A dedicated Projects Team is charged with the responsibility to oversee the planning and safe execution of same, in-line load restrictions provided for by the regulatory authorities, i.e. KeNHA (Kenya National Highway Authority). Safe and Timely delivery of cargo is our primary KPI.
